Under Armour —Getting You Outside Since 1996

Enjoy the outdoors and get in shape. It's a win-win! After all, there's something about a boundless landscape of fresh air and sunlight that makes the stale air and unforgiving fluorescent lights of a gymnasium seem uninviting. But when it's January in Minnesota or July in Arizona, a temperature-controlled environment looks pretty good.

It's difficult fitting a workout into a schedule, and if the weather isn't right - that's just another reason to stay home. Enter Under Armour with shoes and clothes designed to keep you working out all year.

Where It All Started

Unrelenting innovation drives the company, and has since 1996. Under Armour founder, Kevin Plank, developed a moisture-wicking t-shirt. As a former team captain and football player, his goal was to create gear that wouldn't be sweat-soaked and heavy by the end of a long, grueling practice.

Originally developed as a base layer, Under Armour now offers a full range of athletic clothing and shoes. Today, you can work out comfortably in temperatures from 0 degrees to well-above 75 degrees Fahrenheit in an outfit entirely composed of Under Armour clothing.

Know Your Base Layers

The brand was first known for its form-fitting, sweat-wicking base layers designed to aid the athlete during intense workouts and practices. Through research and development, Under Armour developed other apparels that allowed athletes to perform in all climates.

HeatGear and ColdGear — Comfort For Every Season

HeatGear and ColdGear are designed to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Heatgear works best from 75 degrees Fahrenheit and up by allowing sweat to evaporate more quickly, making sure you don't get weighed down during intense exercise.

ColdGear works best from 0 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit and it was designed to hold in heat, help moisture evaporate, and to keep you warm and dry. For temperatures in between, there is AllSeasonGear. All are lightweight and sweat-wicking

Compression —Form-Fitting and Supportive

UA compression is a later edition to the company's repertoire. Some women report that compression reduces muscle fatigue and aids circulation.

You can wear compression clothing as a stand-alone piece, but it also works well as a base layer. Because it is form fitting, it covers you even during a class like yoga where a loose shirt might not be enough. In addition, compression sports bras offer support for high-impact activities like running and aerobics.

Tops & Bottoms for Every Season

In addition to featuring tech like HeatGear and compression, Under Armour tops and bottoms come in a variety of styles and sizes. From tank tops to long-sleeve shirts, and from shorts to pants, there is an option for every season and workout.

Tops range in fit from loose to compression and can include half-zippers, collars, thumb-holes, and other design features to keep you comfortable during your workout. Pants, capris, and shorts come with wide, elastic waistbands for extra coverage and comfort whether you're running or in the yoga studio.

About the Shoes Shoes are the latest edition in Under Armour?s offerings. The Under Armour footwear lineup ranges from cleats to running shoes, training shoes to sandals, and more. Each season and sport is covered with durable materials, sleek looks, and a wide range of styles.

Under Armour — HeatGear

Womens Under Armour HeatGear is your answer for comfort fitness in both spring and summer activities. Made up of lightweight materials, HeatGear helps you train in temperatures above 75 degrees Fahrenheit by filtering sweat through their moisture - wicking materials. This process allows sweat to evaporate quickly so it doesn't weigh you down during intense exercises.

Women's Apparel in Any Season

Aside from spring and summer, Under Armour has extended their women's line of apparel of tops and bottoms to cold weather, ColdGear, and in between temperatures, AllSeasonGear. Now you can have a workout outfit entirely made up of Womens Under Armour Clothing in any season.
